Tony Affatato-Freshman Head Coach
Tony Affatato is beginning his 3rd year on staff with the Crusaders and 2nd as the Head Freshman Coach. Coach Affatato was born and raised in Chicago and attended Loyola Academy High School in Wilmette, IL. Following graduation from Loyola, Tony went on to John Carroll University where he played football for the Blue Streaks.
Affatato graduated from John Carroll in 1998 and then went on to Xavier University to earn his Masters in School Counseling and is currently working on his administrative license through Miami University. Coach Affatato has been coaching football for the past 20 years in various positions including, Graduate Assistant, Varsity Assistant Coach, Middle School Head Coach and Freshmen Assistant Coach.
Affatato has also been the Head Girls Track & Field coach at Mason High School for the past 18 years. Tony has been a school counselor at Mason High School since 2001.
Tony and his wife, Kelly (6th grade teacher and track coach) reside in Mason with their daughter, Gabby (12), who is a rising 7th grader at Mason Middle School and plays volleyball and basketball.
