Mike Sussli- Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Mike Sussli, a 1975 Moeller graduate, brings plenty of experience to the Crusaders. He received his undergraduate degree from Xavier University in 1979 and his master’s in 1981. Mike returned to his high school alma mater for three years to teach and be an assistant basketball coach.

Coach “Suss" then followed an opportunity to be an assistant basketball coach for Xavier University. During his five-year tenure at XU, he was part of five consecutive NCAA appearances.  After Xavier, Mike took a couple of years off from basketball before returning to Moeller during the 1993–94 season. He has been part of the coaching staff on all four of Moeller’s State Championship teams.

Mike works as the Senior Vice President and a Senior Retirement Plan Consultant for the Rinehart Sussli Financial Group at UBS Financial Services in Kenwood. He and his wife, Annette, reside in Loveland.  They have two daughters, Kristin (Nate) Schmidlin and Katelyn (both MND graduates) and two granddaughters, Emma & Natalie Schmidlin. Kristin and her family reside in Cincinnati, and Katelyn (2016 Butler University grad) resides in Indianapolis.
