Bryan Laake- Freshman Head Coach
Bryan Laake is in his fifth year as a Social Studies Teacher at Moeller. After serving in different coaching roles in his first three years at Moeller, this is his second year as Moeller’s Head Freshman Coach.
Bryan, a 1995 Purcell Marian graduate, played basketball for the Cavaliers and was a member of two GCL North championship, two District championship teams and a Regional runner-up team in 1994.
After graduation, he went on to Xavier University where he earned a BA in History in 1999, and a Master’s in Education Administration in 2007. Bryan began coaching at Purcell under Mike Gergen from 1995-2001, and was on the staff of the Division II State runner-up in 2000. After coaching under Mike Price in the Oak Hills Middle School system for 5 years, Bryan returned to coach at Purcell in 2007 as the Head Freshman and JV Coach for two seasons. From 2009-14 Bryan was the Varsity Head Coach at Purcell Marian.
Bryan and his wife Melissa live in Pleasant Ridge with their four kids, Jordan (junior at Moeller), Lauren (freshman at MND), Brennan (5th Grade at Nativity), and their unofficially adopted son Jamel (22 years old).
