Brisben Family Education Center

Built: 2000-01; First Basketball Game: January 19th, 2002
Capacity: 1,350

The construction of the Brisben Family Education Center began in the fall of 2000 and opened its doors for the first basketball game on January 19th, 2002. This marked the second home gym in history of the program. The new facility built on the south end of campus, brought eight new classrooms, a new conference room, auxiliary offices, a new bookstore, a new athletic department office, coaches offices, new locker rooms and a 1,300 seat gymnasium.

Among the state of the art features that the gymnasium  included were two scoreboards, that included panels for statistics of players to be displayed, two-jumbotron video boards on either end of the gym, shot and game clocks above each main basket and a large projection screen for assemblies.

Since it’s construction in the early 2000s the Brisben Family Education Center has gone through some various renovations. Some of these renovations include the re-design of the main court in summer of 2015, 2017 and 2018, the installation of a new scoreboard and advertising panels and a new LED scorestable that were all introduced for the 2016-17 season.

The Crusaders are 128-12 (.914) all-time at the Brisben Family Education Center and will have eight home games for the 2018-19 season. These opponents include, Division II State Champion, St. Vincent-St. Mary, defending Kentucky State Champion, Covington Catholic, Springfield, Purcell Marian, Centerville, La Salle, Elder and St. Xavier.
